Binance to delist several perpetual futures contracts

Important Updates from Binance:

Binance has issued a warning to users regarding the removal of several perpetual futures contracts from its listings. STP, Status, MovieBlock, Radworks, and Convex contracts will no longer be available for trading on the platform starting May 13. This decision is part of Binance’s efforts to adjust to market conditions and enhance trading security.

Protective Measures by Binance Futures Trading:

Traders who currently hold positions in STPTUSDT, SNTUSDT, MBLUSDT, RADUSDT, and CVXUSDT contracts are advised to review their strategies to avoid potential liquidation. Additionally, Binance Futures Trading reserves the right to introduce further protective measures, such as changes to leverage limits and maintenance margins, without prior notice.

Legal Developments Involving Changpeng Zhao:

Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, was sentenced to four months in prison for his involvement in money laundering and other illegal activities. The sentence was lighter than expected, with the prosecution initially seeking a 36-month prison term. The verdict on Zhao’s case was postponed for over two months before the final decision was made on April 30.
